The essentials
SeedSpring is a reflection and note-taking app from Mindscape Media Lab, LLC. It has no SeedSpring accounts, advertising, tracking, or analytics. The app does not send us your writing or subscription information.
Your writing is stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is on, records can also sync to your private iCloud database. AI and voice transcription run on the device. Purchases are handled by Apple.
This policy describes the current app. Visiting this website or choosing to email us is separate; see our website privacy notice.
Writing, voice, and Bible reading
Notes, themes, highlights, sessions, and preferences are stored on your device. A name you enter for personalization is stored locally.
Voice audio is transcribed on your iPhone. The audio does not leave the device, and SeedSpring does not save an audio file. If on-device speech recognition is unavailable, the app shows an error instead of sending audio elsewhere.
The transcript is text, handled like a typed note: it can sync through iCloud, and AI features can process it on your iPhone. The World English Bible is included with the app, so reading it does not require downloading Bible text.
AI on your iPhone
Theme suggestions, voice and Brain Dump clean-up, Import, summaries, and Ask use Apple’s on-device model through Apple Intelligence. SeedSpring does not send your writing to a studio server or an AI company for processing. This version does not use Private Cloud Compute.
On supported devices, AI is on unless you switch it off. Choose Not now during onboarding or use Settings → AI features to turn it off. If you previously declined AI, that choice remains off. Writing, Bible reading, highlights, sessions, search, and export still work without AI.
SeedSpring’s AI features require iOS 27 or later and a compatible iPhone with Apple Intelligence enabled. On other supported iPhones, the non-AI features remain available. See AI requirements and help.

Private iCloud storage
SeedSpring is designed to sync notes, themes, highlights, and sessions using Apple’s CloudKit service and your private iCloud database. Mindscape Media Lab cannot read that database. Sync depends on your Apple Account, settings, available storage, and connectivity.
Sync may take time. A connected iCloud status does not mean every record has finished syncing, and SeedSpring does not guarantee a separate backup. Apple handles its services under its privacy policy.
Purchases through Apple
Apple handles subscriptions, payment, renewals, and restoring purchases through the App Store. SeedSpring uses Apple’s purchase information on your device to determine access. It does not forward that information to Mindscape Media Lab or maintain subscription usage counters on a studio server.
You do not need a SeedSpring account or Sign in with Apple. Your Apple Account is used separately for Apple services such as purchases and iCloud.
Exporting and deleting your data
Use Settings → Sync & data → Export all thoughts to save a copy of your writing. Copies you save or share outside the app remain under your control.
Delete all data removes thoughts, themes, highlights, sessions, cached AI summaries, saved highlight presets, and your entered name. Reading display preferences and the AI on/off setting are kept. If a deletion fails, the app reports what could not be removed so you can retry.
The sync system is designed to propagate deletions to iCloud and other devices. An offline device retains its local copy until it next syncs. The app is designed to discard AI results that finish after deletion rather than restore deleted material.
This control does not delete exported files, cancel or refund an Apple subscription, or remove information Apple retains under its own terms, including purchase records.
Questions and privacy requests
Email jason@mindscape.media with privacy questions or requests about information you have shared with the studio. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send, and use them to handle your inquiry. Please leave out private reflections, passwords, and payment details.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information held about you. We may need to verify a request. We cannot directly access or retrieve writing stored on your iPhone or in your private iCloud database.
Links to support, privacy information, and email open your browser or mail app when you choose them. Those services have their own privacy practices. We will update this page and its date when SeedSpring’s practices change.
